Account Management
  1. Log in to your SeemDistro dashboard
  2. Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner
  3. Select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu
  4. Navigate through the various tabs to access different settings

Profile Information

Artist/Label Profile

Basic Information

  • Artist/Label Name: Your professional name as it appears on releases
  • Display Name: How your name appears in the dashboard (can be different)
  • Profile Photo: Square image, minimum 500x500 pixels
  • Banner Image: 1500x500 pixels, displayed on your artist page
  • Biography: Brief description of you or your label (max 1000 characters)

Social Media Links

  • Connect your profiles from major platforms:
    • Spotify
    • Apple Music
    • Instagram
    • Facebook
    • Twitter
    • YouTube
    • TikTok
    • SoundCloud
    • Website

Genre and Tags

  • Primary Genre: Main classification for your music
  • Secondary Genres: Additional styles you work in
  • Tags: Keywords that help classify your sound

Personal Account Information

Contact Details

  • Email Address: Primary contact email (used for login)
  • Recovery Email: Backup email for account recovery
  • Phone Number: For security verification and important alerts
  • Mailing Address: Required for tax and payment purposes

Legal Name

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Legal Entity Name (for businesses/labels)

To update this information:

  1. Enter the new information in the appropriate fields
  2. Click "Save Changes"
  3. Verify your identity with your password or 2FA code

Security Settings

Password Management

Changing Your Password

  1. Go to "Security" tab
  2. Click "Change Password"
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter and confirm your new password
  5. Click "Update Password"

Password Requirements

  • Minimum 12 characters
  • Mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character
  • Cannot be similar to previously used passwords

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Enabling 2FA

  1. Go to "Security" tab
  2. Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
  3. Choose your preferred method:
    • Authenticator app (recommended)
    • SMS verification
    • Email verification
  4. Follow the setup instructions
  5. Save your backup codes in a secure location

Managing 2FA

  • Update phone number for SMS verification
  • Switch between authentication methods
  • Generate new backup codes
  • Disable 2FA (requires password verification)

Login History

  • View recent login attempts
  • Current active sessions
  • Option to log out from all devices
  • Notifications for suspicious login attempts

Notification Preferences

Email Notifications

Toggle email notifications for:

  • New releases
  • Distribution updates
  • Royalty payments
  • Account security
  • Marketing opportunities
  • News and updates

SMS Notifications

Toggle text message alerts for:

  • Critical account updates
  • Royalty payment confirmations
  • Release approval/rejection
  • Significant streaming milestones

Push Notifications

Toggle mobile app push notifications for:

  • Daily streaming statistics
  • Fan engagement metrics
  • Release performance updates
  • Playlist additions

Notification Schedule

  • Set quiet hours
  • Select notification frequency
  • Choose digest format (individual or summary)

Team Access Management

Team Members

Adding Team Members

  1. Go to "Team" tab
  2. Click "Add Team Member"
  3. Enter email address
  4. Select role and permissions
  5. Send invitation

Managing Roles

  • Admin: Full account access
  • Manager: Release and royalty access, no billing
  • Analyst: View-only access to data and reports
  • Accountant: Financial access only
  • Artist: Limited access to own releases

Permission Settings

  • Customize access levels for each role
  • Set specific permissions for individual users
  • Manage approval workflows

Login Activity

  • Monitor team member login history
  • View account actions by user
  • Access audit logs

Account Deletion

Temporary Deactivation

  1. Go to "Account" tab
  2. Select "Deactivate Account"
  3. Choose deactivation period
  4. Confirm with password
  5. Note: Music stays live, but dashboard access is restricted

Permanent Deletion

  1. Go to "Account" tab
  2. Select "Delete Account"
  3. Read and acknowledge consequences
  4. Complete verification steps
  5. Confirm with password or 2FA

Important Notes About Deletion:

  • 30-day recovery window before permanent deletion
  • Option to takedown or maintain existing releases
  • Final royalty payment processing
  • Data retention policies
